Java za petlju koristi se za ponavljanje dijela programa nekoliko puta. Ako je broj ponavljanja fiksni , preporuča se koristiti for petlju.

Java za svaku petlju
Petlja for-each koristi se za prelaženje niza ili zbirke u Javi. Lakše ju je koristiti od jednostavne for petlje jer ne trebamo povećavati vrijednost i koristiti indeksni zapis.
Radi na temelju elemenata, a ne indeksa. Vraća element jedan po jedan u definiranoj varijabli.
